SIREN

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Just finished a very exciting set of performances at the HERE Arts Center, as part of Under the Radar / Culturemart. The show was called SIREN and I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who didn’t enjoy every minute of it. I still have more (different) shows coming up, so posting will continue to be light since I’m not really working on anything. Check out HERE.org for infos on La Sonnambula and Bordertowns.

YAWN

So I think Sonnambula is officially done… for now atleast. For the next week or so atleast. At some point I plan on making the whole thing available under a CC license like the rest of my work, but I’m not entirely sure I want it available to the world at large in its current state… and it might be some time in Feb before I get some good tweaking in.

Either way – here are a few more bits from the piece. Anyone who is interested in seeing the show can find all the infos here (opens in new window): http://here.org/see/now/. I’m also in SIREN, and BORDER TOWNS if you want to go ahead and make a weekend of seeing me in stuff.

Nightmarish

Section 10 of La Sonnambula is entitled “Nightmare Solo.” I’m not 100% sold on the bass sound yet, but … well… it’s certainly nightmarish.

Shady Trio

0:20 of test for Section 6 of La Sonnambula. I’m not 100% on this one yet: the timing still needs some help. I think the idea is that each dancer has an instrument associated with her, and as they trade places in the fore- and background, the mix will reflect those changes.

Not exactly the newest idea in the book, but fun for me to work with nonetheless.
